This painting brings back many many memories. My parents owned Jon's, and I worked there many hours while I was growing up. The building originally was an old barn that kept the family's dairy cows. My grand-parents owned a dairy during the depression. Love the image of my dad, John Menendez, seated in the front.

I was born in Key West and now live in Lakeland. I lived on Venetia st. and My grandparents lived on Flagler. A navy Brat....

Thanks Sharon. Do you live in Key West? The building still stands as a real estate type business. It's located on 1st Street, near the Flagler/Bertha Street intersection. It was a very populer grocery/sandwich shop.
